I've switched website hosting providers from GoDaddy to HostMonster. There were a few reasons for me to do this, one was the complexity of GoDaddy's domain support site. It seems to me GoDaddy is configured for buying and selling domain names, not necessarily for actual website hosting. Another reason was I had a sub-domain for my wife, but she no longer wanted to use it so I asked GoDaddy to cancel the sub-domain. After many months of back and forth via email and voice they finally figured out I wanted to cancel only the sub-domain and they still canceled hosting for my whole domain. Another reason was pricing. I found that GoDaddy's pricing was a bit high. Not way out there, but they were edged out by other hosting sites. I shopped around and found that HostMonster. I called them up and received great customer service and when I logged in to my domain it was straight forward to get to my files and set up my website. I'm still feeling my way around their file system and all the services they offer, but I'm sold on the fact that I can actually find what I'm looking for on their site. I was trying to figure out how to use embedded PHP within my .html files and called up HostMonster's support. The tech pointed me where I needed to go to open a service ticket, I'm still getting used to doing everything through their website. The disclaimer at the bottom of their ticket said to give them 24 to 48 hours to reply to my request. Within 30 minutes I had an email from them pointing me to a knowledgebase article that explained how to get embedded PHP to work. I added one line to one file and refreshed my webpage, presto! Worked perfectly. I'm sold on HostMonster.
So Google announced Extension support in their Chrome web browser and, of course, I had to give it a shot. I created a simple calculator extension that works great. I still need to get an icon for it and test it a lot more before I add it to their gallery, but I really enjoyed working on it. So if you have any ideas on something you'd like to see let me know.
My wife is doing better. Her last INR was super high and the doc told her to stop taking the blood thinning meds, even told her to take vitaman K. Hopefully we can get her blood back to the correct viscosity.
An early member of the American Legion Riders received a liver transplant over the weekend and seems to be doing a lot better.
I'm getting the oil changed in my Wrangler today during lunch. I bought the extended warranty and get "free" oil changes through the dealership and this will be the first time.

I've redesigned my site and it's sitting here on my hard drive, but I haven't been able to get it uploaded to my hosting site. Its not their fault really, I can't remember my password. Its been that long since I've changed anything here. I've already requested my password from them so I should be up and running pretty quickly, we'll see.
This weekend was tiring. My wife got home from the hospital, she has a blood clot that passed through her heart and went into her lung. So she's been resting and fairly uncomfortable. I cleaned up around the house a little and got to play World of Warcraft a bit. I'm currently working on a Death Knight. He's at level 76. I've really started having more fun now that the dungeon finder has been implemented. The football teams I was rooting for won. New Orleans at Indy and the Jets at Min next weekend, should be a good football weekend. I wonder who's bright idea it was to have the Pro Bowl before the Super Bowl this year? That's just crazy. If I were a coach of one of the teams in the Super Bowl there's no way I'd let my players play in the Pro Bowl a week before.
Anyway, back to studying SysML, woohoo!
